With an upcoming baby shower in the family, I have been searching on etsy for gifts. Ugh!! The cute stuff is everywhere. There is not enough time in the day to see if all... especially with 3 kids. I put together a little treasury list of some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Water for Elephants - Let's go to the CIRCUS!

Over vacation I got the privilege to read a book. 3 kids, yes, this IS A PRIVILEGE!! The book, Water for Elephants, was to say the least... amazing. It was the kind of book that drew you in to a place you have never been before. I walked up and down the beach thinking about the events of the book. I snuck a read while watching a movie while iTunes decided to pause for a little loading action. At the end of the adventure, the book left you satisfied and yearning for more information about the old train circuses.

Collyn has been watching this movie every day this week. When she is not watching it, we are singing the songs. This is one of my favorite childhood movies, and I am so excited for it to be one of hers as well. This treasury is in tribute of that special bond connecting us.... and to a great movie :)

Handy Mama

So tonight I have a victorious handy Mama story. Usually when I attempt to do something last minute bad things happen. I get my kids hopes up, and fail to deliver. Tonight.. was different! We had kid 1 and kid 2's graduation. PreK, and Kindergarten mind you, but still. I realized (way too late) that kid 2 had no nice shirts. I mean NONE. No button downs, no plain collared shirts. Nada. Lots of Star Wars, Darth Vader, and graphic tees. Not gonna cut it. Last minute, and I mean 14 minutes until go time (eek!), I decided to make him a Batman tie shirt, much like the sewn on tie tees on my etsy site. Mission Accomplished! Shirt completed, and child happy - I call that a success. The principal even commented, "I love your tie" when he received his "diploma." See pics! So tonight, I bask in this success!
